A little update from Iowa

Nothing extravagantly exciting has happened in the last 3 weeks other than I have been far far away from the internet and (mostly) TV. Summer is great with a toddler and I intend to enjoy it as much as I can. We successfully picked 20+ lbs. of strawberries with Mason picking and eating and roaming the rows (well, mostly he clung to my leg and back like a monkey, but we did get 'er done). Micah has been swamped with work and this week I have been putting up some siding with him while Mason delved into every snack I could bring to keep him busy. He really wanted to join us on the scaffolding, and you have to watch him because he knows exactly how to climb up the ladder.
Tonight the boys are on their own as I am at the library for some down time by myself. Most likely they headed to the store to buy heavy cream to make yet another batch of homemade ice cream. Unlike many families I have heard from in the last few weeks, ours is far from cutting out the dessert ritual (much to my pleading). I do give in and make cookies or brownies on occassion, but Micah is the one buying all of the chocolate in our house. Yet another reason to love your husband.
No photos tonight, I left my computer in the car. One of these days I also DO plan on putting some things on Etsy. It could be next week or in 5 years, I've decided its way to much stress to give myself deadlines on these things. For now we are playing in the kiddie pool and having picnics and wagon rides, because that is what I really want to be doing.
