Whats for Lunch?

Turkey. Whats for dinner? Turkey. Seriously, its time to end this. Freeze it. Put it away. I love leftovers, but something about reheated meat all on its own just does not sound tasty to me. I made a rustic turkey tart from Cook's Country (which NEVER has a bad recipe) and it was gross. Micah even agreed. Today I made Turkey Tetrazzini. That went over better, but every time I taste the turkey I think of it on the cutting board and Micah pulling it apart. I really think I would be on the verge of being a vegetarian if I hadn't married a farm boy. He nixed the veggie burgers and bulgar chili years ago. Sorry Mom.
This week was the annual Wallace shopping trip of which I take part in every year I can. Unfortunately Mason got sick Monday, Diane got sick Tuesday, now Micah is sick today. Sometimes you just have to suck it up and stay home. Fortunately I was able to nap twice yesterday (thanks little guy) AND go to bed before 10 last night - which in our house NEVER happens. So today I am rested, even though my house now needs an overhaul after being neglected for two days. TWO DAYS! I know what you're thinking, but a house can really get taken over in that short amount of time with a kid who loves to feed Monty the Corgi on the floor even when Monty is not here (thanks for that new habit Grandpa) :) So with trails of cubed carrots and toys strewn about, receipts needing to be filed and floors needing to be swept, I am further neglecting by doing my Merry Christmas shopping online. Thank you very much winter bugs.

Ah, welcome to the winter wonderland of snot and fevers! Sounds like you've been initiated. Hope everyone is feeling better soon. Let us know if you need anything.
We tried a turkey pot pie that went over pretty well. Poor Philip has been eating the rest in sandwiches, although I froze it in smaller bags so he didn't have to eat ONLY that forever.
